MERMAIDENS and SCHOOL FAIR take the stage on Friday 18 November as part of the BIG FAN Launch Series - An incredible lineup of shows over November, providing a first-taste of what BIG FAN has to offer! This is a unique chance to see some of New Zealand’s hottest acts in an intimate setting. There are limited tickets to these shows, so don’t delay in snapping them up for this special opportunity to celebrate the opening of BIG FAN.

Together,Gussie Larkin (guitar/co-leadvocals), Lily West (bass/co-leadvocals) and Abe Hollingsworth (drums) form a powerful trinity of unwavering creativity and relentless workethic. Their time together as Mermaidens has been a fruitful one; a timelineconsisting of three critically acclaimed albums, releasing music on the iconicindie label Flying Nun Records,starting their own music festival (Mermgrown)and a wide range of live supports that include Sleater Kinney, Death Cab forCutie, Lorde, Mac DeMarco and The Veils. In addition to the lengthy list ofaccomplishments, the band has also been recognised at a national level withnominations – and a win for West’s album artwork – at the Aotearoa Music Awards (2020) and as finalists for the prestigious Taite Music Prize (2018 and 2020).
SCHOOL FAIR feat ex-members of Marlins Dreaming are joining Mermaidens for this special night.
