Winter Residencies

About the BIG FAN RESIDENCY

The BIG FAN Residency provides access to one of our three professional-grade recording studios to experiment, produce, write, and/or record music - for free. Our mission? Break down barriers that limit access to recording studios for creative processes of exploring, writing, and producing music. Residencies support and foster emerging producers, songwriters, and artists, providing international industry standard equipment and facilities at no cost. Recognising that pre-set outcome expectations can sometimes hinder creativity, the residency is dedicated to allowing people to use the space in a way that best meets their needs.

WHAT’S ON OFFER

BIG FAN will provide the residents with:

• Access to one of our three studios at BIG FAN for Eight Days across the months of July & August.

• Technical support from BIG FAN studio team as needed.

WINTER RESIDENCIES

The Winter Residencies run from Wednesday 1st July to Monday 31st August, the residents can choose any dates* to come and use the studio free of charge, to a total of 8 full days. They can choose to do these in any format they like.

Applications Open: Tuesday 2 June 2026 at 10am.

Applications Close: Tuesday 9 June 2026 at 10pm.

Applicants Notified By: Wednesday 17th March Approx.
